Hi, I’m Ashleigh!

I am a registered building practitioner, qualified carpenter and owner of a residential building company, Merge Building.

I started my journey in the construction industry in 2009 when I commenced my diploma of building and construction. In 2011 I decided to gain an apprenticeship in carpentry and successfully completed this in 2014. My goal was to always become a builder, so after completing my apprenticeship I continued working as a qualified carpenter until I was able to obtain my practitioners licence. Once my personal licence came through, the next step was to start the process on starting the company and obtaining the company’s building licence with this Merge Building was established in 2018. After 6 years in the industry as a builder, I have seen too many projects come through my inbox and never proceed because the budget and works don’t align. I was frustrated for clients who had invested thousands of their savings for plans that will now sit to the side, if only they had someone to consult with from the beginning, someone who isn’t there to get you to sign the dotted line for a build contract, but someone who will provide you with guidance, knowledge and confidence to proceed with your planned project, when you are ready!
